Venezuelanos sofrem ataques xenófobos no Brasil

O título eufemiza a barbárie, mas as imagens mostram um caso explícito de xenofobia e violência contra venezuelanos em Pacaraima, na fronteira do Brasil com a Venezuela. Revoltados com um homicídio atribuído a um venezuelano, moradores queimaram roupas e objetos de refugiados da fome e desemprego que o bloqueio comercial norte-americano impõe à Venezuela.

Milhares de brasileiros num passado bem recente tiveram a vida transformada por minerais preciosos e oportunidades de negócios oferecidos pela Venezuela. Moradores de Roraima aproveitavam os preços subsidiados pelo governo boliviariano e compravam de tudo com a empáfia, a ostentação e a arrogância que nos são conhecidas.

As coisas mudaram. A Venezuela já não oferece as mesmas oportunidades de lucro fácil. Para quem perdeu vantagens econômicas que nunca teve direito - o subsídio era para o povo venezuelano - a decepção aumenta quando se percebe que a Venezuela "envia" seus "miseráveis prostitutas comunistas" para uma sociedade ordeira, cristã, pela família e pelas armas.

Poderia dizer que o desconhecimento da História, mesmo da mais recente, explica a falta de diplomacia e fraternidade, mas o conceito de bom senso não pode ser exigido ao povo quando a barbárie começa nos centros de poder e de comunicação. A criação de um ambiente inóspito para refugiados haitianos, venezuelanos, africanos e do oriente-médio é potencializada por discursos xenófobos em todas as redes de comunicação.

Ao mesmo tempo, a imigração europeia é isenta de críticas. O Brasil adora imigrantes, desde que sejam brancos e ajudem a "clarear" a pele do brasileiro como se tenta há 100 anos.

Pressionadas pela imigração, comunismo, laicismo e outros medos primais, as milícias fascistas se multiplicam em Roraima apoiadas por defensores da ditadura militar e Jair Bolsonaro. Já cometeram diversos crimes, como atentados a bomba, esfaqueamentos e espancamentos de venezuelanos. Não se tem notícia de punição ou investigação a respeito.

A colaboração da Polícia (que não impediu a violência contra os venezuelanos) não causa surpresa. Junto com o processo eleitoral suspeito, o judiciário venal e o ódio aos pobres, a omissão estratégica da Polícia integra um conjunto de ações deliberadas que visam à constituição de uma nação isolada e em acelerado retrocesso. As sementes de um estado autoritário foram lançadas. Germinarão?

UN warns Brazil

Early today the UN Human Rights Comittee has requested Brazil for assure safety and avoid violations of human rights and political rights of Luís Inácio Lula da Silva, who runs for president of Brazil, jailed for four months on unproven corruption charges.

The UN pointed vices in the lawsuit conducted by Judge Sérgio Moro, who likes to appears in social photos with Lula's political opponents.

The UN reprimand comes days after Interpol refused to comply an arrest warrant issued by Sérgio Moro. For lack of evidence. As a house of cards, the coup d'etat in Brazil reveals itself in all its splendor.

The Supreme Court decided Lula da Silva must go to jail in a controvert judgment where two inconstitutional acts were hidden under president Carmen Lucia's desk. With her vote, the biggest brazilian leader ever was sentenced to jail. Carmen Lucia is the same judge that released Aecio Neves, who was caught in a telephone conversation ordering killings.

Now the extreme right wing has a free path to conquer brazilian government. With support of very known corrup politicians, antionationalists military, the Trump regime and american corporations like Exxon Valdez.

United States doesn't want just oil. They want bases to defy the increasing chinese and russian threaten of global expansion. Brazil is just a piece in geopolitician games. Our efforts to be a respected nation were useless because we have more thiefs and subservient deputies than opportunities to arise from darkness.

The coup is in on the table

General Eduardo Villas Boas threatens a military coup in Brazil. He said on Twitter the army is ready to take power if Lula da Silva runs for president in this year elections.

With full support of Trump regime and north-american corporations as Exxon (which are robbing brazilian oil in a very suspect contract by Michel Temer), the brazilian army destroys the Constitution and wants Lula da Silva in jail or else. 

There is no proofs against Lula da Silva. He is accused of receive an apartment by OAS, a big corrupt corporation sustained by the gang in power, but there's no evidences that it is true. Today Lula da Silva tries to escape the acusation on the Supreme Court. If it works, a bunch of anti-nationalists generals will sell us again to United States, just like 1964.

They defend obsessively capitalism and corrup politicians since its creation. They unstabilize governments and give free space to generals who intent to take power by force.

A public concession with hundreds of local stations, Globo is an octopus wich sucks public budgets with infamous results. Their next step is remove democracy in Brazil.

The world watches it. The western democracies watch it. Do they know Brazil is a fascism laboratory wich incertain results for all of us?

Brazil's former presidente Lula da Silva and his fellows of PT (Partido dos Trabalhadores) were attacked by shots in Paraná, yesterday. Lula was travelling in nearby of Curitiba, where the coup was developed in its judiciary dimension.

"We have three identical buses and several cars. A bus was hit and it could be President Lula's bus. This is a political attack on an escalation of political violence that is taking place in Brazil", said congressist Maria do Rosário.

They killed Marielle Franco.

Gunshots hit two buses in a caravan for former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva's campaign tour in southern Brazil on Tuesday, officials in his Worker's Party said. No one was hurt.

Da Silva wasn't in either of the two buses, which were carrying guests and journalists, da Silva spokesman Jose Crispiniano said.

Da Silva has been traveling around southern Brazil to rally support for another presidential run in October. But the former president has been convicted of corruption, and it looks increasingly likely that he will be jailed and barred from contesting the election.

Copy cat or cop buddy? The Mechanism as a José Padilha's self-portrait

The brazilian serie The Mechanism (Netflix), directed by José Padilha have a nice cast, good budget, careful production and relative creative freedom in these times when entertainment industry is becoming younger, reckeless and empty. To satisfy this industry, many works are mischaracterized. Characters change country, gender and profession; a pet that was not in the script could emerge as deus ex machina. Stereotypes of amorality and violence illustrates southern americans.And for that, Padilha is the right guy.

For some artists, dignity is not negotiable. For others, the control is bearable, OK, we add the dog. There is also a third group that portrays their own culture with platitudes of a north-american look. The effort for the colonizer's approval is paid in a closed-door meeting, where the terms of Mephistopheles are accepted one by one. Minutes later, a gorgeous filmmaker crosses the waiting room, filled with candidates for the pantheon, with a smile on his face.

José Padilha has expertise in Mondo Cane. Doesn’t have the literacy of Paulo Lins, the crudity of Peckimpah, the verve of Loach or the aesthetics of Tarantino. But intents to transforms violent TV shows in movies. He loves crimes and heroes, but especially crimes. His heroes are lawyers and policemen who act as templars of the authoritarian state on a divine mission. They live on the edge of reason, and this distemper is considered human complexity.

But there is no complexity in Padilha’s world. His dissatisfaction with “a corrupted system” doesn’t allow he thinks about the system itself. That is why the apologetic The Mechanism is based on books with titles like the megalomanous “Judge Sérgio Moro and the backstage of the operation that shook Brazil” (Vladimir Netto) and the forgetable “The fight against corruption: Lava Jato and the future of a country marked by impunity” (Deltan Dallagnol).

There are few technical defects in José Padilha's works. The locations and technical staff are fine, but the result is oblivion: his movies are functional and ideological, in a poor and violent universe of ruthless drug dealers, powerful businessmen, robotized cops and robot cops with incendiary and nihilistic speech. Average movies for average guys.

The Mechanism is juts like that. A revenge against left politicians that makes him more an internet hater than a film maker. His full-of-rage sub-elite manifests follow goebbelian paths that threatens society and arts in general and amuses a plethora of increasing fascists groups wich hate poors. 

He is a man of his time, knows himself as replaceable and will surf the conservative wave long as he can, enhancing hate and compromizing his artistic survival with a bunch of lies that makes The Mechanism a big fiasco. Time will tell if his raging manifest will generate more reflection than entertainment.

O Incendiário

A série brasileira O Mecanismo (Netflix) dirigida por José Padilha com os excelentes Selton Mello e Enrique Diaz, pode orgulhar-se do elenco, do orçamento gordo, da produção esmerada e da relativa liberdade criativa num momento em que a indústria do entretenimento torna-se refém de um público cada vez mais jovem e exigente.

Para atender à indústria, muitas obras são descaracterizadas. Personagens mudam de país, gênero e profissão; um animal de estimação que não estava no roteiro pode surgir como deus ex machina. Estereótipos de amoralidade, violência e brejeirice que ilustram o imaginário norte-americano sobre seus vizinhos do sul são contemplados.

É preciso despir-se de orgulho e vaidade. É preciso despir-se.

Para alguns artistas, a dignidade não é negociável. Para outros, o controle é suportável, OK,  acrescentamos o cão. Há ainda um terceiro grupo que retrata a própria cultura com platitudes do olhar norte-americano. O esforço pela aprovação do colonizador é compensado numa reunião a portas fechadas, onde os termos de Mefistófeles são aceitos um a um. Minutos depois, um faustoso cineasta atravessa a sala de espera repleta de candidatos ao panteão com um sorriso no rosto.

José Padilha é um especialista em mondo cane. Não tem a literacia de Paulo Lins, a crueza de Peckimpah, a verve de Loach ou a estética de Tarantino, mas consegue tornar programas de TV policialescos em linguagem de cinema. Seus heróis são advogados e policiais que agem como templários do estado autoritário, em missão divina. Vivem no limite da razão e esse destempero é vendido como resultado da complexidade humana.

Mas não há complexidade no cinema de Padilha. Sua insatisfação é com o "sistema corrompido", não com o sistema em si. Por isso a apologética O Mecanismo baseia-se em "Lava Jato: o juiz Sérgio Moro e os bastidores da operação que abalou o Brasil. O livro de Vladimir Netto integra a Cesta de Leituras do MBL, um conjunto de escritos produzido na esteira do golpe com palavras-chave e títulos longos para leitores sem tempo de ler. Entre estes destacam-se "Operação Lava Lula" (Adib Abdouni), "O jogo sujo da corrupção" (Luiz Flávio Gomes) e o melhor de todos: "A luta contra a corrupção: a Lava Jato e o futuro de um país marcado pela impunidade", de Deltan Dallagnol.

Há poucos defeitos técnicos nas obras de José Padilha. As locações são excelentes e a equipe técnica é competente, mas o resultado é funcional e ideológico, num universo que vai de traficantes impiedosos a empresários poderosos e de policiais robôs a robôs policiais, num discurso incendiário e niilista. Average movies for average guys.

Vista a obra, percebe-se que o grande adversário de José Padilha é a esquerda, especificamente o PT, terceiro partido citado numa lista do doleiro de Enrique Diaz, logo após PMDB e PSDB. Causa a impressão de que a corrupção será discutida em suas origens, mas a falsa isenção dura pouco. Logo depois surgem as caricaturas de Lula da Silva e Dilma Rousseff como políticos ávidos por dinheiro, impiedosos com trabalhadores que pagam impostos. Gênios do mal que desafiam os herois de toga e colete.

Padilha sabe manipular o ódio deste brasileiro neo-politizado e "anti-corrupção" com resultados de Jornal Nacional. Para isso, vale colocar na boca de Lula uma frase de Romero Jucá: "estancar a sangria". Defende o orquestrador do golpe e acusa o PT na mesma cena. Quase brilhante. O casuísmo de produzir uma série no calor da investigação revela a sede de vingança de Padilha. extravasada em herois sombrios, reativos e feitos de aço. Líderes ideais para o hater brasileiro que leva a cruz numa mão, a espada na outra e não carrega um livro porque ninguém tem três mãos.

A criminalização da esquerda e a defesa de uma sub-elite raivosa manifesta em seus filmes revelam a opção por um caminho goebbeliano que ameaça a sociedade e as artes. Socialmente excludente, o cinema de Padilha é bem-vindo em tempos de crescente fascismo. Ele é um homem do seu tempo, sabe-se substituível e surfará a onda conservadora enquanto ela se sustentar. Mas não há redenção ou temperança na obra padilhesca que indiquem sua sobrevivência artística. O tempo dirá se o libelo policialesco que inaugurou em Tropa de Elite produziu mais reflexão que entretenimento.

Meanwhile, an abject elite supported by think tanks, plants hate speeches among a certain indebted racist under-schooling middle class. A plethora of liberals, small traders, conservative youth and government servants, believers in  the most popular and illusory brazilian dream: be accepted by the elite.

2013: the poorest 50 percent of the world population produced 0.7 percent of the wealth. On the rich side, that same percentage was divided by 85 people. Bad. Brutal. 

2016: the poorest 50 percent owned only 0.2 percent of the world's wealth. On the wealthy side, this wealth is hit by only eight people. A fair result, thanks to the free world.

2017: the poorest 50 percent no longer have wealth that can be measured. They own zero percent. On the rich side there is good news: 82 percent of the world's wealth belongs to 1 percent of the population. No comments

2017: 100 million brazilians (50% of population) had the same wealth as 5 people.

About social changes

Social changes do not arise from the masses in their eternal expectation of command, of direction. They come from a small group of people, ideas and voices. People dedicated to improve the lives of those who ignore, criticize or attack the vanguard. Social changes are not social upheavals.
