Fascism, the Portugal turn

The Marega Case is quite revealing of how Portugal faces the awakening of contemporary technological fascism: with Brazil's lukewarmness and German resignation. They continue to believe in the fallacy of “freedom of expression” that gives rise to Trumps and Bolsonaros. In the Marega case, three characters stood out in addition to the footballer himself: André Ventura, unsurprisingly, claims that there is no racism in Portugal - perhaps because of the gypsies. Miguel Sousa Tavares, surprisingly on the left, strongly condemned the episode and has my respect despite the bullfighting. Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, with the declaration that there should be no response or counter-manifestation to this crime against humanity, opens the way for fascism to pass.
