Concentric Neocolonialism

Boa Vista - European Union, this unstable set of countries measuring different levels of education, economy and culture, tried to be the best multicultural organisation of the contemporary era, rivaling the Soviet Union, but apparently failed in its purpose. 

The EU put independent countries under her wings and, guess what, the inequality emerged stronger than ever. While Germany, France and their vessels Belgium and Netherlands rule the continent, countries like Portugal, Spain, Greece and Bulgary occupy a second class. Some countries outside the big group, like Ukraine and Moldova, provide cheap workers even for the poorest South. Mentioned as lazy, confused and anti austerity, the South states act like puppets on northern hands.

In the other hand, Europe Union turned into a puppet of the United States, and have been used to invade small countries without an atomic arsenal. Now that US has found a worthy opponent, Russia, are leaving Ukraine (and Europe) to its own devices. A war by proxy in the heart of a continent apparently free and civilized, but discovers itself neither one nor the other.
